THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD CENTRAL DAVIE ACADEMY GYM – 220 CAMPBELL ROAD, MOCKSVILLE
Come on out, bring the kids, and skate and slide with us in Mocksville! Join us again as “Winterfest” continues on Saturday, January 3rd from 12 noon until 5 PM at (Junkers Mill outdoor theater) Central Davie Academy Gym, 220 Campbell Road, Mocksville, NC for free ice skating and the inflatable toboggan slide. Ice skates will be supplied! Come enjoy the fun on this artificial skating surface that accommodates up to 30 people at a time, perimeter fencing, rubber matting and of course, SKATES! Skate sizes range from youth 9 to adult 13 so everyone has a chance to use the rink! Refreshments and food will be available for purchase at this event.
Toboggan slide is over 90 feet long!
The brand new Toboggan Tunnel combines speed, adrenaline and mystery into one amazing attraction. At over 15′ tall and 45′ long with twin roller lanes covered by a snow covered tunnel, there is mystery and intrigue as to what this tunnel has to offer. There is no other slide like this in the United States.
The ice rink will be constructed from synthetic ice. Synthetic ice consists of a unique plastic polymer that best resembles the consistency of the world’s largest white cutting board. Outdoor, indoor, and anywhere ice skating rinks are fitted together like a giant jigsaw puzzle in 4’ X 8’ synthetic ice sheets. The ice panels are then coated with a lubricating solution that reduces contact friction and enhances the glide and speed of the skating experience.
