Fishing Clinic at the Bullhole

There is something for everyone going on this Saturday in Davie County.  Begin the day early at the fishing clinic at the bullhole,  listen to Tommy and Danny Jackson performing at Misty Creek Vineyards or attend the 2nd Annual Lawn Mower Pull at Clement Grove.  All events are on Saturday, May 14th, 2011.

8:00 AM ~ Fishing Clinic at RiverPark, The Bullhole
The Cooleemee Recreation Department will host its first fishing clinic at the RiverPark. Kids and adults will be able to come out for a morning of fishing, learning to bait a hook, removing a fish, and good old fashioned “Bullhole” fun!

9:00 AM to 3:00 PM  ~ Habitat Spring Fling!  ReSTORE, 1035 Yadkinville Road, Mocksville
The RESTORE Habitat Spring Fling. Flea Market, Food, Arts & Crafts, Music by DJ Bill Edwards, Business Displays & information. Raffle tickets are still available for the locally sewn quilt and an 8 x 10 storage building.

12:00 PM Until Dusk ~ PAPA 2nd Annual Lawnmower Pull at the Masonic Picnic Grounds
The 2nd Annual Lawnmower Pull at the Masonic Picnic Grounds behind the Brock Performing Arts Center on North Main Street in Mocksville is being presented by the Piedmont Antique Power Association. Sanctioned by Ray Abernathe & Son, there should be approximately 18 classes of competition. Kiddie Pedal Pull winners from this event can participate  for the championship pulloff at the July show event.

Bluegrass & Country Music starts at 2PM featuring Third Creek Station. Kiddie Pedal Pull at 4PM for children under 100 pounds. Lawn mower pull at 5PM. There will be food and entertainment for the entire family. You are welcome to bring your lawn mower and pull with us.

12:00 pm – Gates open to public
2:00 pm – Country/Bluegrass Music
4:00 pm – Kiddie Pedal Pull (Must sign up child by 3:00 pm)
5:00 pm – Lawnmower Tractor Pull will begin

5:00 PM to 8:00 PM ‐ Fish Fry Fundraiser, Beach Music and Shagging Contest at the Cooleemee School Cafeteria
This community event is being held to raise money for scholarships for Grimes Parker Basketball Camp.  Only $10 for a plate of flounder, slaw, hushpuppies, fries, drink and dessert.  Cooks are Danny Correll, Earl and Ronnie Shoaf.

Beach music starts at 5pm, DJ is commissioner Chris Branham.  Shagging contest begins at 7:30 in the parking lot next to the cafeteria where the fish is served; cooks are outside.  If it is raining the shagging contest will be in the gym.
