Construction Begins This Fall on $10 Million Health Care Facility in Mocksville
Autumn Care is investing in a new 70,000 square foot, 108 bed state of the art skilled nursing home in Mocksville, just off of Madison Road. The $10 million investment will be used to replace the current Autumn Care facility located on Howard Street in Mocksville.
70,000 Sq Ft Project Means NC Jobs
John M. Campbell Co. of Monroe, NC has been named as the general contractor and they are currently in the process of selecting sub-contractors for the year long construction project. Construction should begin sometime this fall. Patients should be moving in sometime in 2013.
Room for Expansion
One benefit that the new property brings is space for investing in an independent living facility at some point in the future if market conditions warrant.
Autumn Corporation, based in Rocky Mount, NC originally considered a renovation plan that would have replaced or upgraded the existing facility one wing at a time. In the end they determined that a new modern facility would allow them to better meet the current and future needs of the community and Autumn Care’s patients and employees.
Local officials continue to work with Autumn Care on plans for the existing Autumn Care nursing home on Howard Street. The Autumn Corporation, founded in 1979, owns and operates 23 facilities in North Carolina and Virginia.
