Help “Flag” the Tree of Honor and Support Davie County Veterans!

Mocksville Tree of Honor

During this season of Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, no one deserves our thanks more than those who serve or have served to protect our freedom.  A tribute “Tree of Honor” to honor and/or remember these brave folks is located beside the Mocksville Police Department and will be on display throughout the 2015 holiday season.

The Goal is to fill the Entire Tree with Flags to Benefit Local Heroes!
For each $1 contribution, a United States flag will be placed on the tree to represent a designated service person.  Proceeds will be contributed to the Davie County Hero’s Fund, which was established in 2013 by local veterans wishing to help veterans with emergency needs.  The fund is designed to furnish immediate, short-term financial assistance to Davie County veteran residents and their immediate families in crisis. It is intended to temporarily bridge the gap between services offered by the Veteran’s Administration, Department of Social Services, churches and other local assistance agencies.

How to Honor/Remember a Service Member
Make your $1 contribution and designate a service person to honor or remember at any downtown merchant with a flag poster, the Davie County Chamber of Commerce, or the Mocksville Town Hall.

You may also honor or remember a service person of your choice by downloading and completing the donation form and sending it along with your $1 contribution to:

Historic Davie, Inc.
171 S. Clement Street
Mocksville, NC 27028.

For names to be printed in the Enterprise, forms must be legible and turned in by Wednesday, December 9th.
