Davie County, NC – Davie County Recreation and Parks is preparing a grant application to the North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) in conjunction with McGill Associates, P.A. The PARTF application is specific to Lake Louse Park acquisition and development.
Lake Louise Park (also known at The Park at Lake Louise) is a 2+/- acres privately owned parcel/park which has historically served the community and currently contains: a playground, picnic shelter, restroom and walking trail. These public meetings are an excellent opportunity for residents to understand the current history of the park and provide critical feedback on the proposed PARTF application, park features, and upgrades for which the County is applying.
“Public feedback is vital to every project that Davie County Recreation and Park endeavors upon. With the public’s support, this grant will secure Lake Louise Park from potential private development, enhance quality of life and further protect our rural heritage landscapes,” said Recreation and Parks Director, Paul Moore.
Scheduled public input meeting dates are as follows:
- Thursday, March 21 | 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. | Davie County Community Park, Conference Room located at 151 Southwood Drive, Mocksville, NC
- Saturday, March 23 | 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. | Lake Louise Park, Shelter located at 2251 US 64, Mocksville, NC
