Four Oaks Festival – Free Community Event This Saturday!

Mocksville Four Oaks Festival PosterCome out to downtown Mocksville for a day of family fun during the annual Four Oaks Festival this Saturday, October 11 from 10 AM until 6:30 PM with live music all day beginning at noon. Enjoy many unique craft vendors and shop for a variety of crafts, Christmas gifts and decorations.  There will be food vendors, lots of free Kids’ activities, and free live music at Junker’s Mill Outdoor Theater beginning at noon.

Climbing Wall, Inflatable and More for the Kids
Crafts, foods, and the Kids’ Area will set among the Oaks on Main St. and run down Depot St. leading to Junker’s Outdoor Theater.  The Kids’ Area includes inflatable, a climbing wall, pedal carts and course.

Bring Your Lawn Chair and Enjoy the Free Concert – Live Music All Day!
Music will start at Noon and continue until 6:30 p.m. BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR AND NO COOLERS, PLEASE.  Alcohol and water will be for sale at Junker’s Mill and food vendors will be at the top of the hill on Depot Street.

Entertainment Schedule:
Noon….The Flying Saucers and the Doo Wap sounds of the 60’s.
1:45…..Cast Iron Skillet with Southern Rock and R & B.
3:15…..Legends and their phenomenal Classic Rock.
4:45…..Phatt City with Beach Music and Motown Favorites.

Holiday Events Coming Up

The 2014 Hometown Holiday Celebration kicks off with the Bed Races on Friday, November 21st followed by the Hometown Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 22nd.

If you have never shopped or visited downtown Mocksville, this would be a great day to stop in and find out what you have been missing. Stop in and visit with some of our friendly shop owners and shop at the local stores along Main Street.  Visit Scops Ice Cream store, a town favorite, dine at Restaurant 101 (delicious sandwiches and entrees) or O’Callahans (an Irish Eatery & Pub).
