If you need a car title, license plate, or registration renewal, you’ll no longer need to leave Davie County to get it. The Mocksville License Plate Agency is open and ready to do business.
The agency reopened in April at 1047 Yadkinville Rd., in the Eastgate Shopping Center(formerly Squire Boone Plaza) where Central Carolina Bank used to be. The agency is located directly behind the El Taco Shop and across from Domingo’s.
Dylan Brooks, the new independent contractor who operates the agency, said that although business is picking up, many people still don’t know the agency has reopened or where it is located.
He said one person had stopped by when he noticed the agency and said he wished he had noticed it the previous day because he had just gone to Winston-Salem to take care of his renewals.
The original Mocksville License Plate Agency closed on July 30, 2015, when Patricia Bowers retired after operating the agency for 36 years.
The license plate agency also offers notary services and will begin to sell wildlife permits for hunting and fishing in the next couple of weeks.
The agency is open Monday – Friday from 9 am- 5 pm, but closed for lunch from 1-2 pm. It can be reached at (336) 753-6677.
Brooks is looking forward to serving more members of the community.
“We have the shortest lines, friendliest customer service of any license plate agency,” he said with a smile.
