Road Closure at Farmington Road and I-40 Westbound Begins Monday, August 7

Maintenance crews will be constructing a roundabout on Farmington Road at the intersection with the westbound ramp of I-40 from 7 a.m., Monday, August 7th  – Friday, August 18, at 4 p.m. This construction will impact traffic going in both directions. 

Detour Instructions 

• I-40 West traffic will go from US 601 to NC 801 to Farmington (Northbound). 
• I-40 East will go to the NC 801 exit and turn left to go to Farmington (Northbound Detour).
• I-40 westbound traffic trying to go to Farmington southbound will go to US 601 and loop back onto I-40 eastbound to Farmington Exit. 
• Farmington southbound traffic will be detoured at NC 801/Farmington Road and routed to US 601 to I-40 eastbound to the Farmington Exit.
• Farmington northbound will go to I-40 East to NC 801, turn left and follow the existing detour to Farmington Rd.
