Community Park Summer Concert Series Dates/Times:

Music on the Green is back for 2022 this Summer at the Community Park, and this lineup of marvelous musical talent is sure to excite. Davie County Parks and Rec is proud to have six concerts lined up to keep your summertime filled with tunes. Concerts this year will feature local talent as an opener from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., with main acts playing from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

“Our Team loves watching the Davie community come and sing, dance, and commune with each other on the green, slowing down enough to simply be entertained. The 2022 Concerts in the Park Series will kick off with back-to-back performances from ‘The Ladies of Country’, two national acts hailing from Nashville, on May 28. It will be a night you won’t want to miss!” said Whitney Fitzsimmons, event coordinator for DCRP.

Kicking things off on May 28th are Hannah Dasher and Maggie Baugh, two country music solo artists performing in the evening. Hannah Dasher is “Nashville’s best-kept secret,” and she is a true entertainer that was destined to perform country music with a familiar twang and southern heart. Maggie Baugh is a country solo artist inspired by the likes of Sara Evans and Rascal Flatts. Her passion for the art shows through her relatable lyrics and heartfelt melodies

Next on the lineup on June 4th are Coia and Ryan Perry. Coia is a solo artist from the Greensboro area, and he is a master of his craft in producing indie rock that will get you moving. Perry has toured the southeast and headlined for big country music stars in his time. His musical talents are sure to get you fired up.

On July 2nd, Marvelous Funkshun and The Tonez are bringing their talents to the stage. Marvelous Funkshun is a five-man group that has been playing groovy tunes and funky beats across the southeast for eight years. Following up, The Tonez are a variety cover band that play classic hits for all ages. From Beach Music, R&B, Disco, and even Rock ‘n Roll, this band has a little something for everyone.

To continue the concert series in August, Tess Black & Blues will be playing some classic Motown, Rock, and Beach Music. Accompanying them is Nathan Angelo: an indie artist that has musical roots in 80’s pop and 90’s R&B.

In September, witness “The Ultimate 90’s Experience,” as Gump Fiction performs live. Their musical talents will take you back to the golden age of grunge, rock, and even pop hits. It is a blast from the past that you won’t want to miss.

Finishing off this variety of artists in October is Lauren Light, a pop singer-songwriter that has performed across the US and played in over 800 shows. Her vocals compliment a variety of instrumentals to produce a unique and engaging sound
