The Packaging Group, LLC, has opened a 40,000 square foot facility in Mocksville, creating 25-40 new jobs in its distribution center on John Crotts Road in Mocksville.
“Davie County is the ideal location for our new facility,” said Martha Cahall, President and CEO of The Packaging Group. “We were drawn to the community by the skilled workforce and strategic location.”
“We will partner with industry in Davie County, sharing our 25 years of experience in third party packaging, while creating new jobs and contributing to the community that has welcomed us so warmly,” Cahall said.
“Davie County is delighted that The Packaging Group chose our community for this facility,” said Terry Bralley, President of the Davie County Economic Development Commission. “The logistics industry is growing nationally and hosting a leader in the field will increase opportunities in Mocksville and Davie County.
Bralley said The Packing Group will contribute to the community by creating new jobs and adding value for companies they provide services to. “The Piedmont Triad is a recognized leader in logistics and distribution, so the Packaging Group made a good strategic decision in collaboration with Davie County Economic Development, Piedmont Triad Partnership and the NC Department of Commerce.”
The company is a third party logistics provider of contract packaging, warehousing and distribution services, specializing in the retail and apparel, consumer goods, automotive, food and beverage and cosmetic industries.
The Packaging Group is a privately held, woman owned company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. The new venture operates as a sister entity to CPDS Packaging in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Vista Industrial Packaging in Columbus, Ohio.
