The first annual Davie County Schools Showcase and Homecoming Parade will be held this Saturday, October 3rd, and everyone is invited! The day will include face painting for the kids, food, and lots of entertainment. Activities will be held on the square in downtown Mocksville with performances by students and teachers at Junker’s Mill.
This is a great opportunity for the community to come together and to encourage our students, teachers, volunteers and administrators. Performances and demonstrations will be given by elementary, middle school, high school and early college students and teachers.
In addition to performances and demonstrations, every school in Davie County and many clubs, PTA’s and partner organizations will have booths on the square highlighting many of the great things taking place in our schools.
Events and demonstrations highlighting Davie County student and teacher talent will include sport-stacking, the Sizzling-Cyclers, stand-up comedy, solo vocal performances, drama, madrigal singers, piano and guitar performances, singing, and the South Davie Middle School Band.
This will be a fun filled day of activities capped off by the Davie High Homecoming Parade down Main Street.
The day begins at 9:00 AM and will end at about 2:30 PM. Get there early so you don’t miss any of the great performances.
