Employees at the Lee Jeans Distribution Center in Mocksville are waiting to find out what they can do for their co-workers in Alabama.
For employees at the VF Corporation Lee Jeans Distribution Center in Mocksville, tornadoes this week hit closer to home than mere geography might indicate. A sister plant, the VF Distribution Center in Hackleburg, Alabama was completely destroyed by a tornado on Wednesday, April 27th.
VF was able to evacuate the majority of their employees before the storms, but there were still a few employees at the plant when the tornado slammed into Hackleburg. One employee was killed and at least 2 others were hospitalized.
Details regarding the damage are still coming in and Davie County employees at the Lee Jeans Distribution Center in Mocksville are waiting to find out what they can do for their co-workers in Alabama.

Completely Destroyed ~ VF Distribution Center in Hackleburg, AL
We have our own challenges from storm damage in North Carolina where a federal disaster has been declared for 18 counties. Disaster recovery teams from Davie County have been working in Fayetteville and other areas of North Carolina since early this week and some are planning to head to Alabama today.
