Avgol Breaks Ground on $100 Million Expansion in Mocksville 

Global manufacturer Avgol broke ground this week on 63,000 SF of additional manufacturing and ancillary space as part of a $100 million investment to expand its Davie County facility to include both a sixth multibeam spunlaid production line and a laminate finishing line to meet the growing domestic demand for its ultra-lightweight nonwoven fabrics. Avgol, which has majority ownership held by Thailand’s Indorama Ventures Limited Company,  leads the global hygiene market with the most comprehensive range of ultra-lightweight spun-melt nonwoven fabrics. A Commitment to Connectivity – Bermuda Run’s Blue Heron Trail Now Open

After years of careful planning and preparation, Phase 1 of the much anticipated Blue Heron Trail in Bermuda Run is officially open! Local officials, Bermuda Run residents, and community members celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a walk down the one-mile section of trail.  The opening of Phase 1, which follows Hwy. 158 from the roundabout to just past Royal Troon Lane, makes a right as the trail proceeds through the Kinderton Tunnel. Another Win for Davie County – Avgol to Invest $100 Million & Create 52 New Jobs

Global manufacturer Avgol is investing approximately $100 million to expand its Mocksville facility to include both a sixth multibeam spunlaid production line and a laminate finishing line to meet the growing domestic demand for its ultra-lightweight nonwoven fabrics. The investment will create 52 new jobs by Dec. 31, 2024, at an average annual wage of $55,647. The company currently has 260 employees at its facility at 178 Avgol Drive. Davie County Breaks Ground on New Cooleemee Water Treatment Plant

Last week Davie County and the Towns of Mocksville, Cooleemee, and Bermuda Run broke ground on their most significant collaboration yet: a $50 million state-of-the-art water treatment plant that will serve all residents of Davie County.  State-of-the-Art Water Treatment Plant Will Serve All of Davie County Davie County owns and operates the Cooleemee Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in southern Davie County, with an intake on the South Yadkin River. After two years of searching, bus safety innovator Bus Safety Solutions, which manufactures Extended Stop Arms for school buses, has found a new home at 133 Avgol Drive in Mocksville.
