A History of Hospitality: Welcome to the Johnson House Bakery & Tea Room

The James M. Johnson House in Farmington, built in 1891, has been known as a place of hospitality for more than 100 years. Now that legacy continues as the Johnson House Bakery & Tea Room. Laura Mathis, affectionately known as Mrs. Laura, commemorated her grand opening on Friday, January 20th, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Davie County Chamber of Commerce. Free Community Event This Saturday ~ Progressive Storybook, Petting Zoo and Face Painting!

Please join us in downtown Mocksville this Saturday from 1 -4 p.m. as we celebrate spring with a fun progressive storybook featuring the Napping House by Audrey Wood. We’ll begin at The Factory Coffee House at 128 North Main Street and the Easter Bunny,  with the help of a group of volunteers, will guide us through the downtown area to read about the whimsical adventures of a grandmother’s nap on a rainy afternoon.
