The Wyndham Championship is among the oldest events on the PGA TOUR, and the 2014 tournament is the 75th renewal of North Carolina’s oldest professional golf event. The tournament enjoys a rich history that few PGA TOUR events have. The Wyndham Championship, in 2008, moved back to Sedgefield Country Club and became the only regular-season event on the PGA TOUR contested on a course originally designed by the legendary Donald Ross. Previous winners of the Wyndham Championship include several legends in the game of golf such as Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Gary Player and Davis Love III. The most recent winners include Webb Simpson (2011), Sergio Garcia (2012), and Patrick Reed (2013).
