Looking for something fun for your kids to do this summer? COGNITION Davie in downtown Mocksville is hosting five exciting themed camps for rising 2nd through 8th graders that will spark their curiosity, get them thinking outside the box, and engage them in experiential learning!
During week one, June 19th to 22nd, campers will develop their detective skills by learning to crack codes, examine evidence, and complete fun Mission Impossible-style challenges. This is a great camp for any child who loves asking questions and solving puzzles.
From June 26th to 29th, campers will learn how science and art tie together and how to use science to create art! They will complete many colorful experiments resulting in beautiful masterpieces to take home daily. This is the perfect camp for any child who loves art, science, or both!
From July 10th to 13th, campers will enter a different country each day they walk through COGNITION’s doors. They’ll learn about that country’s architecture, art, and history, then complete engineering challenges, art projects, and more to really dive into each setting. Kids who love engineering, art, and travel will love this camp.
From July 17th through 20th, campers will travel through time each day to different points in history. They could end up in the Jurassic period learning about dinosaurs or in the 1700s discovering electricity! Each day will be new and full of experiments, engineering, and STEAM challenges. This camp is great for kids with a strong imagination who love STEAM!
During the final week of camp, July 31st through August 3rd, campers will learn about the different kinds of natural disasters that occur worldwide. They’ll learn about famous disasters in history while doing experiments that replicate them or STEAM challenges to try to survive them! This camp is great for kids interested in weather, environment, or natural disasters!
