Join us for the Mocksville Rotary 2nd Annual MocksFest, a vibrant celebration of music, food, and community, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from noon to 6 p.m. on West Depot Street in Downtown Mocksville. This free, family-friendly event promises an unforgettable day filled with live music, delicious food, unique vendors, and exciting children’s activities, all while supporting meaningful causes.
A Festival for Everyone
MocksFest 2023 was a tremendous success, raising nearly $10,000 for Rotary’s End Polio Now fund and local organizations COGNITION Interactive Children’s Museum & Makerspace and Davie County Community Park. This year, we’re going even bigger and better!
Exciting New Venue
The new venue on West Depot Street will accommodate more food trucks, a dedicated children’s play area, and additional vendor space. Attendees can look forward to a bustling marketplace featuring a variety of crafters, non-profits, and businesses.

Incredible Live Music
This year’s lineup features three fantastic bands:
- Noon – 1:30 p.m. – His & Hers NC: Caleb and Sara Davis, high school sweethearts and Mocksville natives, bring their unique blend of folk Americangrass to the stage. Their heartfelt performances include original songs about family and community, as well as beloved traditional tunes and surprising covers.
- 2 – 3:30 p.m. – Carolina Detour: This dynamic group of young musicians blends folk, country, and rock, captivating audiences with their genre-transcending sound.
- 4-6 p.m. – Phatt City: A nine-member band formed in the early 1970s, Phatt City delivers the best of beach, R&B, and dance music. Drawing inspiration from bands like Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire, they will surely get the crowd moving.

Fun for the Whole Family
Children will have a blast with inflatables and a climbing wall in the Town Hall parking lot (for a fee), while the Davie County Public Library will sponsor free activities in the green space next to COGNITION. COGNITION will offer extended hours, with an entry fee of $5 per person or five cans of food per person to support A Storehouse for Jesus.

Support Worthy Causes
All proceeds from MocksFest will benefit Rotary’s End Polio Now initiative, A Storehouse for Jesus, and Davie Community Park. Rotary Clubs worldwide are uniting to raise funds for the final push to eradicate polio, with just $3 enough to protect a child against this devastating disease. “Our first annual MocksFest was a huge success, and I am looking forward to our second annual event,” said Mocksville Rotary President Allison Gupton. “I am grateful for Will’s (Marklin) leadership forging the way for this event last year and look forward to amazing things to come through this year’s event. Thank you to all my teammates for their work on this event, and thank you to the community for making plans to attend a fun event for a great cause!”
