The Davie County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that nominations are officially open for two of its most esteemed annual honors: the 2025 E.C. Tatum Humanitarian Award and the 2025 Business of the Year Award. These awards will be presented during the Chamber’s 56th Annual Meeting in early Spring 2026 at WinMock at Kinderton, where the community will gather to recognize excellence, leadership, and service.
Honor an Extraordinary Citizen: Nominate for the E.C. Tatum Humanitarian Award

Do you know someone who quietly yet powerfully strengthens Davie County through their compassion and commitment? Someone whose service makes our community a better place?
The 2025 E.C. Tatum Humanitarian Award shines a light on individuals who go above and beyond in volunteerism, charitable efforts, and community leadership. Named in memory of E.C. Tatum, a dedicated educator, tree farmer, and civic leader, this award recognizes those who reflect his legacy of generosity and vision.

Who Was E.C. Tatum?
E.C. Tatum (1926–1995) devoted more than 30 years to serving Davie County. A respected agricultural teacher and tree farmer, Tatum also made a lasting impact on civic life through his involvement with the Davie County Chamber of Commerce, the Davie County Public Library Board, and the Davie Futures Strategic Planning task force. His commitment to community progress inspired the creation of this award, ensuring his spirit of service continues to uplift others.

Spotlighting Outstanding Achievement: Business of the Year Award
Local businesses fuel Davie County’s economic vitality and community pride. The 2025 Business of the Year Award recognizes a Chamber-member business that has demonstrated exceptional integrity, community involvement, and business success over the past year.
Eligible nominees must be Chamber members in good standing for at least one year and show a proven track record of excellence, innovation, and meaningful community support.
