 A Free Community Event Offering Real Stories, Real Resources, and Real Hope

The Davie County Community Response Task Force invites residents of all ages and backgrounds to Behind the Journey – Recovery 2.0, an inspiring afternoon of connection, education, and healing. This free community-wide event will take place on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Davie County High School. This event is 100% FREE and open to everyone. No registration, no cost—just a powerful opportunity to learn, share, and find support.

Event Schedule:
Doors Open: 12:30 PM
Resident Stories & Program Highlights: 1:00 – 2:00 PM
Resource Fair: 2:00 – 3:00 PM

“This year is all about moving forward—taking what we’ve learned, honoring every journey, and doubling down on hope, healing, and recovery,” said Summer Scardino, School Substance Use Education and Resource Navigator for Davie County Health and Human Services, and event organizer.

After the main program, attendees can explore a comprehensive resource fair featuring local service providers and organizations offering support in the areas of:

  • Recovery services
  • Mental health support
  • Housing and employment resources
  • Family-focused programs
  • And much more

Whether you’re navigating recovery yourself, supporting someone who is, or simply want to better understand the resources available in Davie County, this event is for you.
