on May 3, 2023
Road Work Ahead Sign

Road closures for Mocksville’s Wilkesboro Street roundabout began May 1st, and construction will continue until the end of August. The NC Department of Transportation (DOT) assures everyone that all businesses in the area will continue to be accessible throughout the project and will issue maps and updates throughout the process.

The closures affect the intersection of Wilkesboro Street, Yadkinville Road, Mumford Drive, and Meroney Street. Traffic will be detoured to Salisbury Street and Valley Road to access portions of Wilkesboro Street and Yadkinville Road. Local traffic will be able to access locations on either side of the project site up to the points of closure.

Detour to follow during construction of the Mocksville roundabout on Wilkesboro Street.

Business Access

All businesses near the Wilkesboro Street Roundabout project will be open in spite of road closures. The public can access them from their main driveways.

Please enter Alex’s Grill & Ice Cream from the Meroney Street side.
