A Community Prayer Breakfast and Patriotic Picnic at WinMock at Kinderton will allow Davie County and the surrounding areas to remember 9-11, and honor those who currently serve as our local communities’ “first responders”.
As the anniversary of September 11th approaches, citizens all over the United States will take time to remember the pain and loss of innocent loved ones on that fateful day. But we will also recall the extraordinary sacrifice and bravery of the rescuers and first responders, and we will be grateful for a country where we continue to be free to gather as a community and pray…
You are invited to join together in a time of remembrance and prayer on 9-11 at WinMock’s East Terrace. On Wednesday, September 11, 2013, a community prayer breakfast will be hosted by WinMock at Kinderton, Sterling Events Group and the “Wednesdays at WinMock” Men’s Fellowship group.
A brief service will be held at 7:30 a.m. to honor our community’s first responders and to remember those we have lost. There will be a time of prayer which will focus on healing and protection for the citizens of our country, as well as wisdom for the leaders of our local communities, our nation, and the world. The prayer service will be followed by a free light breakfast provided by our hosts.
Later in the day, (from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.) visitors are welcome to view WinMock’s own “Grand Ole Flag” and then enjoy their lunch on the historic and picturesque grounds. The elegant former dairy barn, turned event venue, is located at 168 East Kinderton Way in Bermuda Run, North Carolina, and is one of the premiere meeting centers in Davie County.
Pack your own lunch for an old fashioned “Picnic on the Lawn”, or purchase hot dogs, beverages and gelato, which will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. thanks to Café Gelato, California Fresh Catering and KevMark Catering, who will be there with a variety of delicious offerings.
Make plans with your family and friends, or your co-workers to come together at the prayer breakfast in the morning, or to “picnic” on the grounds for lunch, or dinner at WinMock.
“Thank You” to Sterling Events & WinMock at Kinderton
We are thankful for our hosts’ generosity in giving back to our community in so many ways throughout the year and for their invitation to come together, on this day of solemn remembrance, to thank and honor those who continue to serve as first responders in our community, as well as to recall to memory those who have gone before.
The activities of the day will be moved indoors in the event of inclement weather. For more information, contact Tabatha Renegar at 336-397-2012, or you may send her an email at tabatha@winmock.com.
