Don’t miss out on the fun! Davie County has a wealth of exciting activities for all ages this Saturday, September 10th. So grab your family and friends and plan to attend one or more of these fabulous events! 

The Kruger Brothers Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival Headliners, include Uwe Kruger on guitar and vocals; Jens Kruger on banjo and vocals; Joel Landsberg on bass, and Jody Call on drums.
The Kruger Brothers will headline the festival, appearing on the Front Porch Stage at 3:00 p.m.

Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival 

Davie County is the home of the 10th annual, award-winning Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival! Still only $15 ($20 at the gate). Join your friends at the Camp on Saturday, September 10. Gates open at 10 a.m. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the Kruger Brothers, Junior Sisk Band, Carley Arrowood Band, and Big Ron Hunter. Free creative, musical, nature, and athletic activities for kids. Jam Tent. Unique vendors, auction, classic car exhibit, and delicious food, including bakery and coffee café.  At the end of the day, enjoy the Parade of Kids announcing the 2023 festival lineup! Bring your chairs and enjoy sitting beneath our large, commercial-grade tents that provide both sun and rain protection. No alcohol, tobacco, or vaping permitted. Registered service pets are welcome. Enjoy special instrument workshops with Uwe and Jens Kruger following the festival for an additional fee. Downtown Pirate Party 

Bring the little mateys to Main Street Park on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. for a Pirate Party! There will be a treasure hunt, swashbuckling games, a costume contest, and more.

This event is hosted by the Town of Mocksville and Downtown Mocksville Collaborative

Downtown Pirate Crawl 

Shiver me timbers! You are never too old for a pirate party! Adults are invited to dress up and join the fun as they sail to Downtown Mocksville on Saturday night for food and drink specials and live music from 6 – 11:30 p.m. 

This event is sponsored by the Downtown Mocksville Collaborative.

The Tess Band in Downtown Mocksville 

Enjoy a little Blues, Beach, Country, Funk, and Rock as one of Mocksville’s hometown bands, The Tess Band, takes center stage Saturday night, from 7-10 p.m. in the quad near Restaurant 101 in downtown Mocksville.

Founded in 2013, this multi-talented group features Davie County locals Tess Welch – vocals; Grady McClamrock – rhythm guitar; Gary Chilton – lead guitar; Ken Simonds – bass; Jerry Smith – keyboards; and Darren Boles – drums.

Clap your hands, tap your feet, and sing along as they play your favorites from a wide range of artists like Sheryl Crow, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, Jimmy Buffet, and the Eagles.

New Date: Special Occasion Band in Bermuda Run   

The Town of Bermuda Run will be alive with the sounds of beach music as the Special Occasion Band (SOB) completes this season’s Sounds on the Square concert series Friday, October 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the gazebo near Town Hall. The concert is co-sponsored by the Town of Bermuda Run and the Davie County Arts Council

If You Love Beach Music

Special Occasion Band is known throughout the Carolinas for its versatility and depth of talent. This Winston-Salem-based band has been together since the ’80s, offering the best of Carolinas’ Beach Music, Top 40, Oldies, and Country. Their beach repertoire includes favorites like “I Love Beach Music,” “Carolina Girls,” “60 Minute Man,” and “Brown-eyed Girl.”

Grab Your Favorite Carolina Girl or Guy and Dance the Night Away!

There is plenty of space, so bring your lawn chairs, a cool drink and snacks, and maybe your shaggin’ shoes, and enjoy this free concert. The concert’s rain date is Sunday, September 11th.
