It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Mocksville! The holidays wouldn’t be complete without the festive Mocksville Hometown Christmas Parade sponsored by the Mocksville Tourism Authority. This year’s theme, “Santa’s Workshop,” promises a magical afternoon for the whole family.

A Parade Full of Holiday Cheer!

Prepare to be dazzled by a lineup that includes walking groups, talented performers, horseback riders, eye-catching floats, single vehicles, and of course, candy for the kids! And it wouldn’t be a Christmas parade without a special appearance from the man of the hour—Santa Claus!

The parade kicks off at 2 p.m. this Saturday rain or shine from Rich Park, traveling down Main Street, turning left onto Depot Street, and concluding at Railroad Street. Be sure to stake out your favorite viewing spot early to catch all the action!

Parade Prizes

Excitement runs high with prizes awarded to the best parade participants. Here’s what’s up for grabs:

  • 1st Place: $75
  • 2nd Place: $50
  • 3rd Place: $25

Plan Ahead: Road Closures

  • Limited through traffic begins at 1 p.m.
  • Parade route streets (Main, Depot, Park, Poplar, etc.) will close to ALL traffic by 1:15 p.m. to ensure the parade starts on time at 2 p.m. sharp.
  • Participants should arrive at their designated locations by 1:30 p.m. at the latest.

Parents: If dropping off children in Rich Park, please park at Mocksville Elementary School and walk your child to their float location.

While you’re downtown, why not enjoy some holiday shopping? Downtown merchants will be open and ready to help you find the perfect gift for someone special—or even a treat for yourself! From charming boutiques to unique treasures, Mocksville’s downtown shops have something for everyone.
