Sugar Valley Airport was established to support general aviation but also to encourage educational, recreational, and creative endeavors in our community. The S.V.A. is home to the Civil Air Patrol cadet program for students 12-18 years old. This program focuses on: community service, leadership training, technical education, and character development.
The S.V.A. facilities are used to support the continuing education of pilots through “ground school”, as well as providing a meeting place for special classes in arts and crafts like silk painting and pottery.
Aviation enthusiasts, those interested in learning more about the opportunities available, and those looking for a fun family weekend event, will all enjoy a visit to the “Spirit of Aviation: the Next Generation” Fly-in. So “fly in or drive in” on October 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and you won’t be disappointed.
