What better way to enjoy the Christmas lights and the spirit of the holidays than a ride through Historic Downtown Mocksville in a horse-drawn carriage! The buggy can hold 4-6 people so bring the family and enjoy a FREE carriage ride down Main Street and the downtown area. Carriages will depart from 34 West Depot Street near Lydia Jaynes on Friday night, December 10 from 6-8 p.m. Parking is available at Town Hall.
On Saturday morning, grab a hot chocolate and head to the 26th annual Advance Christmas Parade sponsored by the Advance Fire Department. After the parade, grab a bite to eat at one of Davie County’s delectable restaurants and then head to Mocksville’s Main Street Park at noon for a delightful day of holiday fun for the young and the young-at-heart.
Nothing beats the joyful strains of Christmas music. Enjoy the sounds of the season for free at the Sixth Annual Christmas Celebration at the Brock on December 11th at 7 p.m. Sponsored by the Davie County Arts Council, the concert will feature Carolers of Christmas Past, Gianinni Brass, and some special visitors from the North Pole.
