Drive-Thru COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic This Friday at Davie County Community Park

Davie County Health and Human Services (DC HHS) will hold a drive-thru vaccination clinic this Friday, January 15th from 10 a.m – 2 p.m at the Davie County Community Park, 151 Southwood Drive.

This Friday’s clinic is for frontline healthcare workers (1a) and individuals 75 years of age and older (1b, Group 1).

Moving the vaccination clinics from the Davie County Health Department to the park will maximize efficiency and reduce traffic flow issues in Mocksville.

Drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be held at the park every Friday from 10 a.m – 2 p.m. (weather permitting) and on Wednesdays from 1 – 4:30 p.m, beginning on Wednesday, January 20th.

Davie County Leads the State

So far, Davie County has held four clinics and vaccinated more than 2,300 residents. As of this past weekend, Davie County was leading the state with a 4.2% vaccination rate, according to Davie County Manager David Bone. He credits the success of Davie County’s vaccination efforts to the hard work of the county’s public health staff and the support of Davie County Emergency Services and the Davie County Sheriff’s Office.

Individuals who qualify for vaccination should complete the Recipient Vaccination Questionnaire (download, print, and complete by clicking the link) before arrival to allow the process to move more quickly. The paperwork will also be available at the vaccination site for those who are unable to print it in advance.

Announcements about who is eligible for each clinic will be provided on https://www.daviecountync.gov/ or by calling 336-753-6540 after 3 p.m. on Mondays. You may also stay up-to-date on vaccine clinics at www.facebook.com/DavieCountyGovernment.

New Testing Location

Tomorrow is the Last Day for COVID-19 Testing at the Community Park — Testing Will Resume in the EMS Parking Lot on Tuesday, January 19th

To ensure enough space for the COVID-19 vaccination clinics at the park, COVID-19 testing will move to the parking lot at EMS, 114 Dr. Slate Drive, beginning on Tuesday, January 19th. Testing will be offered Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Persons who wish to be tested should enter from Hospital Street, using the parking lot entrance closest to the Health Department.

The last day of testing at the Davie Community Park will be on Thursday, January 14th, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. There will be NO COVID-19 testing from Friday, January 15th – Monday, January 18th.

Testing may be canceled or the start time delayed because of the weather.
