With art stations, a bounce house, and more, kids age 5 and above won’t want to miss Kid’s Art Walk – “A Passport to Art” this Saturday, August 20th, from 10 am – 2 pm at Wild Mountain Designs & Art in Farmington.
Come out and travel to 8 different art stations, everything from painting abstracts with squirt guns, stained glass, woodworking, craft making, string/beads and clay. The fee is $45 per child and includes all the supplies as well as snacks.
Creating beautiful artwork inspired by the world around us is the passion of Wild Mountain Designs and Art. Located in Davie County’s Historic Farmington Community, the studio is open to artists of every age and skill level. Artist and studio owner, Bruce White, devotes himself to his students, seeking to instill in them the love of art while also taking the intimidation out of painting.
Wild Mountain Designs & Art also serves as the home of Bruce’s professional gallery, and serves as the setting for Sip and Paint events, private art lessons and an art supply and gift shop.
“We all have a beauty within us and painting allows that beauty to come out,” said White, who has also spent time teaching aspiring artists at Forsyth Technical Community College, The Brock Performing Arts Studio.
