SBA Home North Carolina rolled out the green carpet to celebrate the construction of its first U.S. manufacturing facility with an event that blended international flair and heartfelt community spirit.
“Labas,” or “Hello” in Lithuanian, set the tone for the day as 200 local leaders, community members, and potential employees gathered on April 4th to meet the SBA team, tour the new facility, sample traditional Lithuanian cuisine, and learn more about the company’s values and cultural roots.

A Warm Welcome from SBA Home Leadership
Jurgita Radzevice, SBA Home’s CEO in Lithuania, greeted attendees with enthusiasm.
“Today I am extremely excited to approach you to present our company and our country, Lithuania,” she said. Radzevice shared insights about SBA Home’s mission, core values, and commitment to giving back to the communities where it operates.
Angelika Matczak, President and CEO of SBA Home North Carolina, echoed the excitement.
“Welcome, everyone. We are so thankful to be here and to be embraced by this community… Everybody has been so welcoming, and it’s been a pleasure doing business in Mocksville,” she said. “This is just the first chapter of a much bigger story, and we’re excited to write it together.”

Giving Back to the Community
As a symbol of its long-term commitment to Mocksville, SBA Home North Carolina announced plans to fund a new pickleball facility at Rich Park and to contribute 200 volunteer hours annually.
Matczak invited Mocksville Mayor Will Marklin and Town Manager Lee Rollins to the stage to accept a commemorative sign that will be displayed at the future courts.
Marklin expressed his appreciation: “Mocksville is an oasis in the desert of economic development. We are an international hub of commerce. We have Avgol from Israel, Dunlop Tires from Great Britain, and now we have SBA from Lithuania.”
He added, “SBA immediately set itself apart. The minute they hit the ground, they wanted to begin giving back. We are so excited to offer this new amenity at Rich Park. Thank you for choosing Mocksville—we look forward to many years of partnership.”

A $70 Million Investment in Mocksville
SBA Home is investing approximately $70 million to establish operations in a 500,000-square-foot building at 134 Gildan Drive in the Davie Industrial Center. The facility will become a state-of-the-art, around-the-clock production center for ready-to-assemble furniture.
Production is expected to begin by the end of 2025, with plans for a workforce of 250 employees operating highly automated equipment. Hiring has already begun. Those interested in becoming part of the growing team can apply now at https://www.sba.lt/en/careers.

Supplying IKEA With New Product Lines
SBA Home has been a trusted IKEA supplier for more than 30 years, providing tables, dressers, and wardrobes. The Mocksville facility will expand this relationship by producing new collections of customizable shelving units, including the popular Kallax storage cubes and Billy bookcases.
Radzevice explained that the plant will begin with one eight-hour shift for the first six months, then gradually scale to two and eventually three shifts. By 2028, SBA Home NC plans to produce at least two million pieces annually with projected sales of up to $200 million.
With its roots firmly planted in Lithuania and its future growing in Mocksville, SBA Home North Carolina is ready to make a lasting impact—both economically and culturally—on its new American home.
