The Town of Mocksville is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Lee Rollins as its next Town Manager. Rollins will officially begin his new role on March 17, 2025. With more than 13 years of experience as the former town manager of Bermuda Run and over 30 years of expertise in public and private partnerships,  Rollins brings a wealth of knowledge and a collaborative spirit to the position.

Currently, Rollins serves as the Executive Director of Resource Institute, Inc., a locally based non-profit organization dedicated to working with local governments and other partners to restore streams, rivers, and wetlands, enhancing America’s natural resources.

Extensive Experience in Public and Private Sectors

Throughout his career, Rollins has spent about half his professional life in the private sector, with a strong focus on strategic planning, client development, and customer service. This unique blend of public and private experience has equipped him with a broad perspective on fostering public/private partnerships. He believes strongly that government works best when collaborating with the private sector and community groups to address challenges and achieve shared goals. One of his key strengths is his commitment to breaking down organizational silos and encouraging teamwork across sectors.

Deep Roots in the Mocksville Community

A Mocksville resident for 22 years, Mr. Rollins has been deeply involved in the community through his church and various civic organizations. His dedication to the town is further reflected in his service as a former Mocksville Town Commissioner and as a current member of the Town Planning Board. Rollins holds a degree in Business Administration from High Point University and has completed extensive training through the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Government.

In his new role, Rollins will lead a team of 33 full-time and 20 part-time municipal employees, providing comprehensive services to the residents of Mocksville. His leadership will play a key role in maintaining Mocksville’s status as a highly desirable and strategically located community in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. He steps into the position following the retirement of former Town Manager Ken Gamble in December.

“The Mocksville Town Commissioners have worked hard to find the best candidate to fill the role of Mocksville Town Manager,” said Mayor Will Marklin. “After a thorough search process, they have selected the former Town Manager of Bermuda Run. Mr. Rollins served as Assistant Manager for the Town of Mocksville under Terry Bralley. He has a proven track record in leadership and will be an asset to our town. Thanks to Lynn Trivette for stepping in as Interim Manager during the search process and thank you to the Piedmont Triad Regional Council for conducting the search process.”

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Mr. Rollins said, “I look forward to serving my hometown and working with incredibly talented people to implement the policies and objectives set forth by the Mocksville Board of Commissioners. It is an honor.”
