A Beloved Holiday Tradition Draws a Crowd 

Joyful energy filled the air as Mocksville welcomed thousands of spectators on Saturday, December 7th, for its cherished annual event: the Mocksville Hometown Christmas Parade.

Spectators lined Main and Depot Streets, waving and cheering as a delightful variety of participants brought holiday magic to life. From marching groups and talented performers to creative floats and, of course, a special appearance by Santa Claus, the parade offered a spectacular start to the season.

Mocksville’s Director of Marketing and Community Development Coordinator, Jeannette Pitts, extended her appreciation to everyone who contributed to the parade’s success.

“We’re so thankful for our grand marshals, Clyde and Gladys Scott, as well as our judges Alyson Morse, Karen Martin, and Will Marklin,” Pitts shared. “Thanks also go to the dedicated volunteers, organizations, parents, and kids who made this year’s parade unforgettable!”

  • Advance Christmas Parade: Don’t miss this upcoming celebration in Advance on Saturday, December 14th, at 10 a.m., rain or shine. The procession begins at Shady Grove Elementary School (3179 Cornatzer Road, Mocksville) and follows Cornatzer Road, turning right onto Highway 801, left onto Peoples Creek Road, and ending at Peoples Creek Road and Magnolia Acres.
  • Cooleemee Christmas Parade: This year’s Cooleemee parade launched the holiday festivities on November 30th, charming residents with its unique holiday flair.
