Melanie Forbes Cook, of Davie County has written an article for the “My Town” feature section of Our State North Carolina Magazine. Melanie’s article captures the essence of this historic “Main Street” community; from the clock tower watching over Main Street to perhaps this writer’s favorite line from the article ~ “The town is truly a unique piece in the tapestry of American life as it should be lived.”
