Davie County Community Park Movies – 151 Southwood Drive

On May 27, Disney’s Encanto will be showing in the park. This exceptional animated film is a musical masterpiece, and a spectacle the whole family will not want to miss. Encanto is rated PG, and is a heartfelt story to start off the summer movie marathon from Davie Parks and Rec.
The high-flying web-swinging trilogy completes with the showing of Spider-Man: No Way Home on June 24. This spectacular Spider-Man showing is a must see for fans of Spider-Man and fun superhero movies. Spider-Man: No Way Home is rated PG-13.
Everyone loves a good musical, and Sing 2 is the followup to the 2016 original. Sing 2 will be showing on July 29, and it is a well-received musical-comedy from the creators of Despicable Me. Sing 2 is rated PG, and is a fun time for families who love to sing along!
Wrapping up the 2022 summer movies is Ghostbusters: Afterlife, a direct followup to the classic 1980s films. Fans of the originals will love this modern day successor; this film is rated PG-13, and follows the adventure of a few kids moving to a small town and uncovering the mystery behind ghost sightings and strange phenomena.
The movies will be shown on the Civic Green at 151 Southwood Drive. Please bring your own chairs or blankets for seating. The movies are FREE, open to the public, and tickets are not required. Concessions will be sold on-site, and you may bring your own food as well. The movie lot opens at 7 p.m. but all movies will begin at dusk. Kicking off Mocksville Movies with music is Sing 2, the well-received followup to the 2016 original. This musical-comedy from the creators of Despicable Me is rated PG. This melodic movie is a fun time for families who love to sing along, so don’t miss it!
On July 16, don’t miss DreamWorks’ comedic animated musical, Trolls World Tour. Trolls World Tour is a sequel to 2016’s Trolls, but don’t be afraid to come out if you haven’t seen the first one! Rated PG, Trolls World Tour takes audiences on a journey through diverse music genres and family-friendly comedy. This movie was met with overall positive reviews as a well-animated, colorful movie with fun songs to sing along to.
Finally on August 20 witness Jurassic World, an action-packed hit sequel to the classic Jurassic Park series. Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt on a wild journey with prehistoric creatures set twenty-two years after the original trilogy. This movie is rated PG-13.
