Coming on Saturday, June 19th, is Davie County Community Park’s first Food Truck Rodeo! Arrive hungry for a wide variety of eats and treats all day, from 11 a.m.- 8 p.m.
The event will be held at 151 Southwood Drive Mocksville, NC 27028 and will feature live music with a bit of something for everyone. Admission is FREE and no pre-registration or tickets are required.
“We are so excited to welcome residents and visitors of the Davie community to the park for a relaxing and enjoyable day of good food, great music, and the opportunity to play together,” said event coordinator Whitney Fitzsimons.
The trucks will be parked in the front parking lot off of Salisbury Street. Food from across the state will be making its way to your local park. Come out for a taste of traditional American food with some variety mixed in! Shaved ice, fried delights, and sweet sensations await you at this fun-filled food fair for the whole family.
The Community Park is pleased to welcome a variety of music to accompany the great tastes throughout the day. From 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Soul Pancake, a talented classic rock’n’roll group, will be delivering a musical cuisine to start the morning off. Following from 1:30 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. His and Hers, a bluegrass duo that radiates with the soul of classic country. From 4 p.m.- 6 p.m., the folk americana band Down the Mountain puts a new twist on some old classics along with delivering original pieces. To end the night, SoundKraft plays from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. SoundKraft is a duo from Central North Carolina that covers a variety of rock and roll from all eras with a southern acoustic twang.
Both the park and the main building’s amenities will be open for use by the general public during the event. The park offers horseshoe pits, bocce courts, playground, walking paths, a gymnasium, and the Splashpad. If using the Splashpad, please remember pre-registration is required for weekend admission.
Patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and seating for use to watch the bands on the Civic Green. Large umbrellas and pop-up tents are discouraged. Please remember that no alcohol is permitted in the park at this time.
If you’re looking for a way to finish the night after a savory evening, look no further than Downtown Mocksville’s free outdoor movie at Main Street Park. Mocksville will be showing Toy Story 4 at 8:30 p.m.; from imdb,
