Davie County seniors are invited to “meet” with Davie County Commissioners and town representatives from Bermuda Run, Cooleemee, and Mocksville on Thursday, January 21st, at 1:00 p.m.
Anyone over the age of 55 is invited to join in via Zoom, phone (toll-free number), or parking lot radio.
This will be a time to ask all of your questions plus voice suggestions, concerns, or praises.

Senior Services is Planning an Eventful 2021!
This is just one of the many events Davie County Senior Services has planned for 2021! Although the building remains closed to the public, those 55 and older are invited to come out and participate in a host of virtual events and seminars and parking lot activities, drive-thru parties, and parking lot radio specials.
The New Year kicked off with a month-long poetry contest, car bingo on January 5, a Zoom cross-stitch activity on January 8, and a drive-thru party for January birthdays on January 13.
Senior Services’ own Kelly Sloan will present a Caregiving Seminar on Facebook Live for those who are caring for their loved ones. She will talk about respite – what it is and why it is important and will share the basics of caregiving. This is open to all ages and will be on Davie County Senior Services’ Facebook page on Tuesday, January 26, at 2 p.m.
Action-Packed February
February is shaping up to have a full calendar of events as well. It will feature a month-long knitting contest, a drive-thru February birthday party, an origami heart Valentine’s Day craft, a drive-thru Valentine’s Day party, adult coloring sheets for Mardi Gras, plus coffee and coloring Zoom social hour with Senior Services’ staff. The annual Black History Month celebration is still happening, and this year it will be a two-part event! Lastly, February will end with a senior games fun day and open house which will be held at the Davie County Community Park (site of the Old Davie High School). Keep an eye out for more details regarding dates and times of events, healthcare seminars, and exercise classes coming your way in 2021.
