There’s no shortage of outdoor movie magic in Davie County this summer. From the Town of Mocksville’s Movies in the Park series to the Davie County Recreation & Parks Outdoor Movie Series, families have even more opportunities to grab a blanket, enjoy the evening air, and watch favorite films under the stars.

Town of Mocksville: Movies in the Park Lineup

June 13: Zootopia 2

Rating: PG | Runtime: 108 minutes
Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde return for another fast-paced adventure filled with humor, mystery, and heart. This sequel brings new challenges and big laughs as the duo works together to solve their latest case.

July 11: Elio

Rating: PG | Runtime: 98 minutes
An imaginative, space-filled story about a young boy who unexpectedly becomes Earth’s ambassador to an alien world. Elio blends humor and emotion into a story about courage, identity, and finding your place.

August 8: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Rating: PG | Runtime: 98 minutes
Jump into a colorful, action-packed adventure with Mario and friends as they explore new worlds and face cosmic challenges. Packed with fun and nostalgia, it’s a hit for all ages.

September 12: Toy Story

Rating: G | Runtime: 81 minutes
A timeless classic that follows Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and their toy friends on a journey of friendship and loyalty. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the summer series.

Attendees will receive a Golden Ticket for 10% savings at Quail Ridge Confections, The Foxhole, The Station Pizzeria & Taproom, Scoops, Love for Retro, and Black Sheep Yoga. Participants will have a golden ticket on display.

Davie County Recreation & Parks: Outdoor Movie Series

May 29: Coco (Movies in the Park)

Rating: PG | Runtime: 105 minutes
A vibrant, music-filled story about Miguel, a young boy who journeys into the Land of the Dead to discover his family’s history and follow his dreams.

June 26: Happy Gilmore (Drive-In)

Rating: PG-13 | Runtime: 92 minutes
A comedy favorite featuring an unlikely golfer with a powerful swing and a short temper. Expect laughs and plenty of memorable moments.

July 24: Incredibles 2 (Movies in the Park)

Rating: PG | Runtime: 118 minutes
The Parr family returns as Elastigirl takes the spotlight to save the world while Mr. Incredible tackles life at home. Action-packed and family-friendly fun.

August 28: Space Jam (1996)(Drive-In)

Rating: PG | Runtime: 88 minutes
A nostalgic mix of basketball and animation starring Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes crew as they team up for an unforgettable game.

What to Know Before You Go

Drive-In Movies 

  • Tickets must be purchased online in advance
  • $10 per car / $15 per truck or SUV (up to 6 people)
  • Enter through Southwood Drive and follow staff directions
  • Parking opens at 7:00 p.m.; movies begin at dusk (around 8:00–8:15 p.m.)
  • Audio available via speakers or your car radio
  • Concessions and indoor restrooms available
