The countdown is almost over! After six years of extensive resident input, park design master planning, and construction, the eagerly awaited Davie County Community Park, including the Splashpad, opens tomorrow, Tuesday, July 14th.
“Words cannot express how excited our team is to finally open this gem up to the public!” exclaimed Whitney Fitzsimons, special events & marketing coordinator for Davie County Recreation & Parks. “There are obvious modifications to our opening that we did not expect would be necessary when we first started planning for our grand opening. However, we all agree that having the park open for use was a much better choice than waiting until we could have the celebration it deserves. This park will now become an essential piece in the fight toward a healthier Davie Community.”
Guidelines & Restrictions
She shared Davie County Recreation and Park’s (DCRP) approved, updated contingency plan for the safety of the community as it relates to COVID-19.
“Please note that your DCRP team is continually keeping up with the newest developments of the COVID-19 pandemic. We will let those developments determine how we will continue to respond, so all information below is subject to change.”
