The holiday season is fast approaching and it’s time to get into the spirit by registering for the Hometown Christmas Parade which will be held on Saturday, December 4th at 2 p.m. The Hometown Christmas Parade is a beloved tradition that has been delighting young and old for decades. This year’s theme is “The 12 Days of Christmas.” Parade categories include businesses, churches, civic/non-profit groups, school groups, single/individual entries, and horses with entry fees ranging from $15 to $25. DFA Expands Capacity by Relocating to Mocksville

“If you are ever in a Volkswagen, Daimler, or BMW, and it’s really quiet, you’re welcome,” says Jerry Sutphin, vice president of Dr. Friest Automotive (DFA) US. The Germany-based company, which designs and manufactures sound deadening and insulation materials for the automotive industry, is relocating and expanding its US manufacturing operations to Mocksville.  DFA US will move from a 28,000-square-foot-space in Mount Airy into a 110,000-square-foot leased facility at 300 Bethel Church Road, which will allow the company to begin production for a third automotive manufacturer. Davie Community Foundation Awarded $25,000 from Duke Energy to Support Small-Business Revitalization
