Kick off the holiday season with Cooleemee’s annual Christmas Parade and Old-Time Christmas Celebration on Saturday, November 29, 2025! This cherished tradition brings together families, friends, and neighbors from across Davie County to enjoy an afternoon full of festive fun and holiday spirit.

Parade Through Town
The celebration begins at 4 p.m. at Cooleemee Elementary School with a lively parade featuring community groups, colorful floats, classic cars, and enthusiastic participants spreading Christmas cheer. The parade winds its way through town and concludes at the historic Zachary House, setting the stage for even more holiday fun. (If you would like to be part of the magic, plan to be at Cooleemee Elementary at 3 p.m. to join the parade lineup.)

Old-Time Christmas Festivities
Immediately following the parade, visitors are invited to the Zachary House for the Old-Time Christmas Celebration, hosted by the Cooleemee Historical Association (CHA), the Town of Cooleemee, and The Bridge Church. Attendees can enjoy:
- A visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus
- Readings of the Christmas Story and ’Twas the Night Before Christmas
- Hot chocolate, cider, and a variety of holiday desserts
- Activities for all ages, perfect for creating festive family memories

The Fudge Contest Returns
One of the event’s sweetest traditions is back! The Cooleemee Fudge Contest, originally started by retired Mayor John Chandler in the early 2000s, returns for 2025 after a successful revival in 2024.
All types of fudge are welcome! Entries should be brought to the Zachary House by 3 p.m. The winner will be announced during the Old-Time Christmas Celebration and will receive bragging rights along with their name engraved on the official trophy. For contest details, contact John Chandler at (336) 940-0848.

Experience the magic of an old-fashioned Cooleemee Christmas and enjoy an afternoon full of community spirit, holiday nostalgia, and sweet treats.
