Davie Chamber Hosts 2020 Outdoor Health Fair

on November 16, 2020

POSTPONED: Out of an abundance of caution and due to Davie County being a red tier community, our 2020 Outdoor Health Fair is postponed until further notice. While we understand that this is unfortunate news, the health of our team, members, and community is of utmost importance.

OneBlood will be onsite from 9 am-1 pm fulfilling registrations and also accepting walk-ins.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the Davie County Chamber of Commerce at (336) 751-3304.

The Davie County Chamber of Commerce will present the 2020 Outdoor Health Fair on Friday, November 20th. This event, originally planned for March of 2020 at the Davie Family YMCA, will now be hosted at the new Davie County Community Park located at 151 Southwood Drive, Mocksville.

“Hosting this event at the park will allow for an outdoor, Covid-friendly gathering, as well as the opportunity to showcase the brand-new park to the community,” said Caroline Moser, president of the Davie County Chamber of Commerce.

This free annual event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be held in conjunction with a blood drive hosted by OneBlood. Participants at the event will also have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch from Chick-fil-A from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.!

Sponsored by Wake Forest Baptist Health – Davie Medical Center and Davie County Recreation and Parks, the 2020 Outdoor Health Fair will bring vendors of healthy lifestyle products and services together to offer Davie County residents a convenient one-stop healthy lifestyle information experience. Participants at this event will be offered access to important information, direct interaction with a variety of medical service providers, and several free health screenings.

With healthcare costs on the rise and interest in personal well being at an all-time high, the 2020 Outdoor Health Fair will provide residents with a great opportunity to take positive steps toward improving their health.

The health of you and your family is important now more than ever, so plan to head to the Davie County Community Park on Friday, November 20th, to start your journey of healthy living.
