Gather your little ghouls and goblins! From pumpkin carving parties to spooky movies to a Halloween Hootenany at Cognition, Davie County has a week full of safe, fun activities to help your family celebrate Halloween this year.

Pumpkin Carving Parties October 26-29th

Davie County Recreation and Parks has several opportunities for family-friendly fun beginning with pumpkin carving parties every day through Thursday.

The meadow at the Davie County Community Park at 151 Southwood Drive in Mocksville has been transformed into a pumpkin patch for you and your family. Pick out a pumpkin to carve or paint for only $3 each with tools/patterns provided.

Your carved creation will be featured in the Jack-O-Lantern Trail on Halloween Night! Pumpkins can be picked up that night after 8:30 p.m.

“Halloween is one of our favorite holidays! Although we are all navigating life’s many changes to keep everyone safe during this COVID-19 pandemic, we want to also remind people you can still find clever ways to celebrate,” said Whitney Fitzsimons, marketing and events coordinator for Davie County Recreation and Parks. “We have had a great number of families come and make their mark (and some memories) on our trail! There is still plenty of time and pumpkins to chose from.”
