Historically well- known for furniture and cotton mills, North Carolina is moving from Textiles to High Tech, attracting companies like Apple, Google, and Facebook.

High-Tech corporations across America are being drawn to North Carolina by our abundance of power and pro-business environment.

The work being done to market North Carolina as a computer data center corridor is paying off with companies like Apple, Google and Facebook all opening centers here in North Carolina.

Potential Data Center in Davie County
Davie County is home to a potential data center on a 365 acre tract on Baltimore Road.  The Davie County Economic Development Commission has been working with the Piedmont Triad Partnership, the North Carolina Department of Commerce and Duke Energy on a feasibility study and prospect analysis to move this site from “high potential” to “operating data center”.

Watch the Fox News video below to learn more about North Carolina’s success in moving from textiles to high-tech!
