Members of the Davie County Economic Development Commission and the Chamber of Commerce met with our partners at the North Carolina Department of Commerce at their offices in Raleigh earlier this week. The purpose of the meeting was to update the Department of Commerce on development activities in Davie County and to provide details on buildings and sites available for future development in the county.
The partnership between Davie County and the North Carolina Department of Commerce has always been strong and positive and this meeting helped strengthened that partnership as we were able to express our appreciation personally to the Department of Commerce for their support and for all of their hard work on our behalf.
The Department of Commerce has helped Davie County attract, retain and grow industry in our community. They have played an important role in promoting Davie County by providing guidance and support with many projects. Among those projects, a few highlights include Jockey International, VF Jeans, Amarr Garage Doors, QST, Townsend and Funder America.
A slide show of highlights from our presentation appears below.
