Skyline National Bank celebrated its grand opening on Thursday, December 12th, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Davie County Chamber of Commerce. Dozens of area residents and local officials attended to welcome the community bank to downtown Mocksville.
“It is always a great day in Davie County when we celebrate the opening of a new business, and we are especially excited to welcome Skyline National Bank to downtown Mocksville,” said Caroline Moser, president of the Davie County Chamber of Commerce. “The group has done an incredible job revitalizing the building and has hired wonderful, engaging employees to fit the needs of Davie County residents. Skyline will be a huge asset to the county and a great community leader.”
Grand opening festivities included a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., delicious refreshments by Millers, giveaways, and account specials. The first fifty people to register for a door prize received a free Christmas wreath. Door prizes were drawn every hour from 12 until 4.
“National is in our name but community is in our heart,” said Blake Edwards Jr., president, and CEO. “Skyline is a community bank that has been serving small towns in North Carolina and Virginia for over 100 years. We are excited to be in Davie County.”
