Spooky Season in Davie County: A Week of Frights, Fun, and Family Halloween Events!

Ghosts, goblins, and good times await across Davie County! From pumpkin decorating and fall festivals to haunted trails and downtown trick-or-treating, there’s something spooky (or not-so-spooky) for everyone. The week of fun begins Friday, October 24, and runs through November 1, with creative crafts, eerie adventures, live music, and plenty of candy. Whether you’re in the mood for family-friendly festivities or a fright-filled thrill, Davie County is the place to celebrate Halloween! Here are a few of the upcoming events.

Bermuda Village 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat – October 24

Join us at Bermuda Village, 142 Bermuda Village Drive, Advance, on Friday, October 24th, from 4:30 – 6 p.m. for an evening full of candy, costumes, and community fun!

This free event is open to the public, so bring your friends, family, and little ghouls for a spooky good time! We’ll have plenty of decorated trunks, sweet treats, and even a bounce house for the kids! Located in the parking lot by the Clubhouse flagpoles.

Holly Lane Haunt – October 24, 25, 31

The Holly Lane Haunt is back again with more frights and terrible creatures! Victims… sorry, we mean guests of all ages welcome. The trail is located at 206 Holly Lane and will be open from 6-10 p.m. on October 24, 25, & 31.

The front half of the trail will be suitable for our half-sized haunt lovers, and the walk-around inflatable trail will be just right for the pint-sized participants… however, the back half of the trail has some new residents who are eager to meet the more daring of you who think you can brave the dark forest.

  • 80+ animatronics and life-size props
  • 20+ scarers
  • Candy at the end
  • Inflatable trail for our little monsters who can’t brave the dark forest.

The Holly Lane Haunt is FREE to enter as many times as desired. There will be a donations jar available, as well as Venmo and Cash App, for those who wish to donate. Donations are not expected but are appreciated as they help our volunteers and contributors create a more fun and in-depth experience every year for everyone who enjoys coming out.

Clayton Homes Halloween Harvest Fest – October 25

Celebrate the spooky season at the Clayton Homes Halloween Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 25th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 153 Blaise Church Road in Mocksville! Enjoy a day packed with festive fun for the whole family, including a vibrant vendor market featuring unique local products, permanent jewelry, face painting, and plenty of Halloween excitement. Kids can fill their treat bags during the Trick-or-Treat event while everyone enjoys the festive atmosphere, creative vendors, and seasonal surprises. Don’t miss this fun and family-friendly fall celebration!

Cooleemee Community Day & Trunk or Treat – October 25

Is it a trick or a treat?? No tricks here! The Cooleemee Fire Department is hosting a Fall Community Day and Trunk-or-Treat on October 25th from 4-8 p.m. Deck out your trunks with the best Halloween decor for trunk or treat! Free hot dogs, drinks, fire safety education, the Novant helicopter, the smoke house, and demonstrations! Surely to be a great time!

Beats & Treats – October 25

Driven Creations Custom invites you to join their 2nd annual BEATS & TREATS sponsored by SUNDOWN AUDIO and BASSHEAD NATION SPL on October 25 from noon to 5 p.m. Activities include: Audio Show, Car Meet, Trunk or Treat, and several food trucks to choose from. 1705 U.S. Highway 601 North, Mocksville.

Dulin Church Trunk or Treat, Chicken Stew and Bluegrass – October 25

Join Dulin Church on October 25, from 4-7 p.m., for a fun-filled night of fellowship, delicious chicken stew/hot dog dinner, and Bluegrass by Mona Jo and Friends! Bring the kiddos to enjoy the trunk of treats! 897 Dulin Road, Mocksville.

Downtown Mocksville Halloween Costume Contest & Tekken 8 Tournament – October 25

Love For Retro presents a Halloween/ Tekken 8 tournament this Saturday, October 25, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.! There will be Pizza, ice cream, video games, nerds, and Halloween costumes! It also supports 7 local businesses! Tickets are only $20.00. Be sure to grab yours today! We are located at 143 N Main St.

Fall Festival | Advance First Baptist Church – October 25

Come enjoy some family fun with food, games, and even bluegrass music at Advance First Baptist Church’s Fall Festival on October 25, from 5 -8 p.m.! Bring a chair or a blanket for comfort! 1938 NC-801 Advance.

Karaoke & Adult Halloween Costume Party and Contest at O’Callahans – October 25

Get your best costume and join O’Callahans for a fun night of karaoke, food, and drink specials on October 25th from 7-10 p.m. Prizes for the top three costumes for adults.

Yee Haw Fall Festival – October 25

Cornerstone Christian Church invites you to the Yee Haw Fall Festival on Saturday, October 25, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Fun for the whole family! Enjoy hayrides, trunk or treat, bingo, corn pit, live music, door prizes, chicken stew, and corn dogs. Costumes welcome.

Trunk or Treat | Davie Nursing & Rehabilitation Center – October 28

Davie Nursing & Rehabilitation will host its annual Community Trunk or Treat on Tuesday, Oct 28th, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at 498 Madison Road, Mocksville.

Trunk-or-Treat and Outdoor Movie Night – Oct. 30

Looking for a safe and healthy way to celebrate Halloween? Davie County Health and Human Services invites families to a free Trunk-or-Treat and Outdoor Movie Night on Thursday, October 30, at 154 Government Center Drive in Mocksville. Enjoy an evening of festive fun beginning with safe trunk-or-treating at 4:30 p.m. in a well-lit, supervised area perfect for kids to collect treats, followed by Hotel Transylvania, under the stars starting at 7:00 p.m. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and Halloween spirit for a night of community fun and safe celebration!

Downtown Mocksville Merchants Will Offer Candy, Prizes, and Activities on October 31

Costumed merchants will treat trick-or-treaters to candy and prizes on Friday, October 31st, throughout the afternoon and early evening.

Please park your vehicle downtown or in the parking lots on side streets. Once the roads are closed, no one (even local residents) will be able to gain access. Our primary focus is to provide a safe place for kids and their families to enjoy Halloween.

For the safety of the children and their families, North Main Street will be closed from Gaither Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Road from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Side roads onto Main Street through this area will also be blocked off.

Family-friendly Fun at Cognition’s Boo Bash- October 31

While you are downtown, swing by Cognition Davie for family-friendly Halloween fun from 3–5 PM! Perfect for younger children, this not-so-spooky event features silly games, a make-and-take craft, hands-on STEM activities, a costume parade at 4 p.m., and a sweet treat to conclude the fun. Admission is $6 per child (free for yearly members), with tickets available online or at the door.

Pizza Planet Halloween Bash at The Station – October 31

After you finish your candy run at Main Street Trick-or-Treat, blast off to The Station Pizzeria & Taproom for a night to infinity and beyond!

We’re transforming The Station into Pizza Planet for one epic Halloween celebration. Enjoy an evening of music, themed pizzas, and out-of-this-world drinks.

For some thrills and chills, make sure to visit the Brock Gym at 644 N Main Street for Davie County Recreation and Parks’ Halloween Spooktacular: Brock’s Haunted Legends! Little Brock has awakened classic horror icons, and they’re waiting in the shadows. Every corner holds a new fright… are you brave enough to face them?

Open from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. $3 per person, cash or card. All ages welcome, parental guidance is advised.

2025 Trunk or Treat & Home Run Derby – Nov. 1

Join Green Meadows Baptist Church at Davie Little League for the Annual Trunk or Treat! The fun begins at 3 p.m. for the trick-or-treaters. This FREE event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Make sure you also bring a chair and stay for the Annual Home Run Derby that begins at 5 p.m. Register online to secure your spot in this yearly fun contest. Open to ages 8-Adult. This event will be held at 599 Farmington Rd, Mocksville.
