Get ready for another summer of unforgettable movie nights in Davie County! The Movies in the Park series, sponsored by the Town of Mocksville and Davie County Recreation and Parks, are back for 2025, bringing with them a fantastic selection of family-friendly films—all chosen with help from community members who participated in this year’s movie surveys.

Town of Mocksville Movies are held at Main Street Park at 192 North Main Street.
June 14, 8:30 p.m. – The Super Mario Bros. Movie
Join Mario, Luigi, and a colorful cast of characters as they dash through the Mushroom Kingdom in this animated hit. It’s a nostalgic adventure packed with action and laughs—ideal for fans of all ages! Rated PG
July 12, 8:30 p.m. – Inside Out 2
Return to the world inside Riley’s head as she navigates the highs and lows of adolescence. With new emotions entering the mix, this Pixar sequel offers humor and heartfelt moments that appeal to the whole family. Rated PG
August 9, 8:30 p.m. – Despicable Me 4
The lovable villain Gru and his mischievous Minions are up to new antics in this fun-filled sequel. Expect high-energy comedy, outrageous gadgets, and heartwarming family dynamics. Rated PG.
September 13, 7:45 p.m. – Aladdin (Animated Classic)
Take a ride on a magic carpet with Aladdin, Jasmine, and the Genie in this timeless Disney tale of adventure and love, set to unforgettable music. Rated G

Every moviegoer will receive a raffle ticket upon arrival. One lucky attendee will take home that evening’s movie! Must be present to win. Didn’t win? No problem—your ticket stays in for future drawings.
Golden Ticket Perks
Each family will receive a Golden Ticket at the movie entrance—good for a 10% discount at participating downtown businesses for the rest of that month. Whether it’s a scoop of ice cream or something stylish, it’s a great way to support local shops!

Davie County Community Park movies are held at 151 Southwood Drive.
Davie County Recreation and Parks offers two free movies in the park and two drive-in movies for a fee this summer. The movie lot opens at 7 p.m., but all movies will begin at dusk, between 8 and 8:30 p.m. Bathrooms will be available throughout the events.
Friday, May 30 @ Dusk – Movie in the Park – Moana 2 (PG-13)
Set sail once again with Moana as she embarks on a daring new voyage beyond the reef! Years after restoring the heart of Te Fiti, Moana is called upon to explore uncharted waters and face a mysterious threat to her island and its people. Friday, June 27 @ Dusk – Drive-In – Wicked (PG)
Before Dorothy dropped in, two young women met in the Land of Oz – one born with emerald green skin who is smart, fiery, and misunderstood, and the other beautiful, ambitious, and very popular. Wicked tells the untold story of the witches of Oz, revealing the complex friendship between Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, and Glinda, the Good. Know Before You Go
The drive-in movies will be shown in the parking lot off Southwood Drive. Tickets are sold online at amp.activecommunities.com/DCRP. The cost is $10 per car and $15 per truck/SUV for up to six people. Please note that no tickets will be sold on-site, so be sure to secure your spot in advance.
