Summer Concerts 2023

Summertime music continues to be a warm weather staple of Mocksville, Bermuda Run, and Davie County Recreation and Parks. Every year our community members bring crowds together for great music, food, and socializing with the concert series. Come join the party and enjoy the variety of performances in the comfort of our own community! 

Town of Bermuda Run & Davie County Arts Council 

Event details:

Cost: FREE 
Time: Begin at 7 p.m.  
Location: Bermuda Run Town Center, 120 Kinderton Blvd., Bermuda Run (off  Highway 158)

The highly anticipated Sounds on the Square concert series is sponsored by the Town of Bermuda Run and Davie County Arts Council. This series is a great opportunity to bring Davie County together over some great music and company in the comfort of our own backyard. The town of Bermuda Run and Davie County Arts Council continue to cultivate a variety of musical magic for its residents each year to make the summer months even more exciting!

NEW DATE, Saturday, August 19, 2023 – EnVision

The summer line-up kicks off Memorial Day Weekend (date changed due to weather) with EnVision. This group is known for its top-notch performances, which continue to get crowds up and dancing the night away! Their reputation continues to create a name for themselves across the Southeast. They are known for their dazzling performances with high-energy choreography and music. Their outstanding vocals keep the audiences captivated throughout their concerts. Don’t forget to check them out on YouTube or their website to see the magic for yourself. 

August 12, 2023 – The Entertainers

The Entertainers have been captivating audiences for over 30 years! The Entertainers continue to create joy for their audiences with the beachy melodies that we all know and love. If you want a concert that reminds you of salty air and coastal vibes, this concert is definitely for you. They also play music from the Top 40 playlist, Classic Rock ‘n Roll, and Country Music. This band has made a name for themselves by performing at festivals along the East Coast. Mark your calendars so you don’t miss out on the greatness! 

August 26, 2023 – North Tower 

Join the North Tower Band in Bermuda Run to celebrate their 40+ years of entertaining. They offer a variety of genres from oldies, beach, funk, and best of the Top 40. North Tower continues to leave its audiences with memories that last a lifetime. Pull up your favorite lawn chair, enjoy the warmer weather, and jam to all the classic music hits. September 16, 2023 – The Special Occasion Band

For 35 years and counting, The Special Occasion Band has continued to entertain the local communities of the Carolinas with their music. They have performed at weddings, parties, civic events, and more. The Town of Bermuda Run welcomes this iconic band to our county, and we are excited to see what they bring to the stage this summer.  Remember to mark your calendars for this special occasion! 

Davie County Community Park   

Davie County Recreation and Parks creates excitement for all community members with events, concerts, and so much more. They have cultivated another amazing lineup for this year’s summer concert series. These concerts are FREE and are hosted on the first Saturday of the month! Concessions and other items will be available for purchase at this event. The concert series will include local artists, regional performers, and national acts! June 3, 2203 – Sammy Kershaw & Kindred

Davie County Concerts in the Park starts June 3rd with Sammy Kershaw and Kindred. Sammy is known for sticking to his country music roots and loves to perform good ole country melodies at his shows. He tours all over the East Coast and continues to make an impact on all those who get to witness his performances. Sammy’s music and stage presence continues to be a night to remember long after the last song ends. 

Dustin Chapman and Ryleigh Madison are a unique uncle-niece musical duo from Whiteville, North Carolina. As two young singers with what they call “old souls,” they both incorporate traditional and contemporary country and gospel into their sound. This has helped them create an instant identity among listeners of all ages. 

Using their talents to uplift others, these former American Idol contestants travel all around the Southeast, singing at some of the notable events, including the Carolina Country Music Festival and the Carolina Country Music Awards.

July 1, 2023 – The Embers featuring Craig Woodland & Springer & Cagle 

Celebrate at the park with some great beachy tunes. The Embers and Craig Woodland are known for their joyful shows that bring beach vibes to you. The Embers and Craig Woodland were awarded the Best Carolina Beach Music Award Group of the Year in 2022! As they continue to tour around the Carolinas and bring people together, we are excited to welcome them to the summer concert series in our own community. 

Springer & Cagle hail from the Queen City, also known as Charlotte, NC! Robyn Springer and Greg Cagle are known for their pop music performances. However, they aren’t limited by any type of music. Due to their love for performing, they continue to captivate their audience by keeping them guessing on their set lists. Audiences know when attending a performance by these two, they will want to be up dancing to their show! Robyn and Greg met 15 years ago and continue to thrive as an unstoppable unit. Join us to welcome this iconic duo at the Concerts at the Park lineup on July 1st!  

August 5th, 2023 – Chairmen of the Board & The Band Tess

Soul music is coming to Davie County! Join us on August 5th to welcome the Chairmen of the Board. The Chairman of the Board is an American-Canadian band from Detroit, Michigan. Their  music has left a lasting impact since the 1970s. Their soul music has been played throughout the United States for decades. They have continued to perform soul music that has even made it on the US Hot 100 and has charted in the United Kingdom and Australia! Let’s give them a warm welcome and enjoy their soul-touching performance this August.  

Local favorites, The Band Tess welcomes you to sing along to some Motown, rock, and beach music! Dance and sing along while you enjoy the summertime weather with this free concert. October 7th, 2023 – Jim Quick & Coastline and Jake HaldenVang

Jim Quick & Coastline are bringing their North Carolina tour to Davie County in October! They have continued to tour all over our beloved Carolinas and invite you to stop by for their FREE concert at Davie County Recreation and Parks! Awarded entertainer and songwriter of the year, Jim continues to pull crowds statewide with his swamp soul rhythms. Get concert-ready by checking out his music on iTunes and google play!

Jake HaldenVang is a vocalist, guitarist, composer, and producer from Riverside, California. He is known for his soulful and fiery live performances. At the age of 13 years old, he was chosen to represent Charlotte, NC, in the 2009 International Blues Challenge in the IBC Youth Showcase! He is a well-seasoned performer who has performed on numerous stages, including the well-known show The Voice! Jake has continued to create a name for himself in the music industry because of his undeniable stage presents. Town of Mocksville Concerts on the Square

The Town of Mocksville invites you to join the party! Come join us while we sing and dance to all of our favorite songs live in beautiful downtown Mocksville. Each year our community continues to come together over music and good times while enjoying each other’s company. The Band Tess creates such a good time with their beach, oldies, and rock music! Bring your best moves and join us in downtown Mocksville for this incredible event. While you’re dancing the night away, don’t forget to enjoy the quaint atmosphere that downtown has to offer. July 8, 2023 – Moxie 

Moxie is known for hyping up a crowd with high-energy dance music! Come enjoy R&B and funk music from throughout the decades. Bring your own lawn chair and prepare for a great time while jamming to great tunes! Don’t forget to check out all the local businesses downtown before and after the show. August 12, 2023 – The Usual Suspects 

The Usual Suspects continue to amaze the audience with their memorable and exciting shows. This band originates from Winston-Salem, NC! They play a variety of music, from Rock, Blues, and RnB. So if that’s your cup of tea, join us in quaint downtown Mocksville for this summer concert. Bring your friends and family to the event, too, because there is tons of family-friendly fun to be had! September 9, 2023 – Exit 180

Come enjoy your favorite Classic Rock songs from the ’80s and ’90s  by the band with an iconic name! Bring a chair and your favorite company to the busy downtown Mocksville to enjoy the music-filled atmosphere because summertime would not be the same without enjoying these timeless Rock’n Roll songs in our beautiful city! 

September 23, 2023 – Summer Beach Days 

Phatt City- 4:00-5:30 p.m.

Join us for the Summer Beach Days double-header! Phatt City Band is known for its beachy tunes, soul music, and blues. Don’t forget to bring your lawn chair and sit back to enjoy the show. They will be playing first at this local event, so get there early to snag the best spots! This event is FREE but don’t forget to stop by the local downtown business to show your support! 

EnVision- 6:15-8:30 p.m.

Let’s welcome Envision back to the Summer Beach Days lineup! This quintessential band has performed in previous years and continues to leave a lasting impression. They offer a high-energy performance with great choreography and vibes! They are known for their soulful music that continues to bring people to the dance floor. Join us in welcoming them back to our beloved community for another summer bash!

Friday Night Bluegrass Band – Farmington Community Center

Event details:

Cost: $6 donation 
Time: 6 – 9 p.m.
Location: Farmington Community Center, 1723 Farmington Road, Mocksville, NC 27028 
Dates: Every 3rd Friday of the month

This event is held every 3rd Friday of the month, and admission is a $6 donation! All the proceeds of these events go to support the Farmington Community Center, which continues to be such an asset to our county. Doors open at 6 p.m., with food also being available! Enjoy a bite before the show starts at 7 p.m.
