Davie County has two free concerts Saturday night that are sure to thrill music lovers of all ages. While downtown Mocksville will be jamming to the best of beach and Motown, Bermuda Run will be dancing to the top tunes of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
Mocksville’s Concerts on the Square
Enjoy a little beach and Motown as one of Mocksville’s hometown bands, Tess & the Black & Blues, takes the stage this Saturday night, August 26th, from 7- 10 p.m.in the quad near Restaurant 101 in downtown Mocksville. Their performance is part of the free Concerts on the Square series sponsored by the Town of Mocksville.
Formed in 2014, Tess & the Black & Blues plays blues, beach, country, funk, and rock. Band members include: Tess Welch – vocals; Grady McClamrock – rhythm guitar; Gary Chilton – lead guitar; Ken Simonds – bass; Jerry Smith – keyboards; and Darren Boles – drums.

Future performances are September 9th — The Real 21 (acoustic, classic rock and country), September 15th — Josh Perryman (acoustic rock & blues), and September 23rd — Brad Ratledge (acoustic country & rock). All of the concerts begin at 7 p.m.
Bring your lawn chairs. Enjoy downtown Mocksville restaurants, retail shops, and ice cream and gourmet coffee shops.
Bermuda Run’s Sounds on the Square
TheTown of Bermuda Run & Davie County Arts Council will present Eric & The Chill Tones from 7-9 p.m. at the gazebo near Town Hall in the Kinderton Business Park.
This band should come with a warning label because they will get the audience involved like you have never seen! They play just about anything, but focus on 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s cover tunes and Carolina beach music.
Bring a lawn chair, a picnic, a cooler, and don’t forget your dancing shoes! Two dance floors will be available for dancing the night away. The rain date for the concert is Sunday, August 27th at 7 p.m.
