Students in drafting classes at Davie County High School (DCHS) are constantly creating, tinkering, and innovating. VVIC Hosts Toys for Tots Christmas Giveaway for Families in Need

Children’s laughter mingled with Christmas music, drifting past a Christmas tree adorned in red, white, and blue. Transformed by a heartwarming celebration and toy giveaway, the Veterans View Intake Center (VVIC) hosted a small Christmas party on Saturday, December 16th, for local families in need. VVIC, a transitional facility for homeless veterans, gave away presents to 60 children this Christmas season in partnership with Toys for Tots. The IGNITE DAVIE College Promise program is significantly impacting local students’ lives, providing them with the opportunity to pursue higher education and successful careers. Davie County Schools Celebrates the new Mebane Education Center

Davie County Schools has officially unveiled its new central administration building, the Mebane Education Center. Aptly named in honor of the gifts the Mebane Foundation has given to the Davie County School System throughout the years, its opening was celebrated at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 28th. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the larger community and school system, fulfilling a plan set out with the bond referendum to build the new high school passed back in 2014.
