Please join us in downtown Mocksville this Saturday from 1 -4 p.m. as we celebrate spring with a fun progressive storybook featuring the Napping House by Audrey Wood.

We’ll begin at The Factory Coffee House at 128 North Main Street and the Easter Bunny,  with the help of a group of volunteers, will guide us through the downtown area to read about the whimsical adventures of a grandmother’s nap on a rainy afternoon.

Each of our participating merchants will have a treat for you and afterward, we’ll go to Main Street Park to enjoy a petting zoo and face painting.

The progressive storybook is presented by The Town of Mocksville and The Davie County Public Library.

This is the first of many fun, family-friendly events planned in Mocksville this spring.

Peter Rabbit ~ Free Family Movie Night Friday, May 24th, 8:30 p.m
Bring your family & friends and your favorite movie snack to Downtown Mocksville for a free outdoor showing of Peter Rabbit, Friday, May 24th. The movie will begin at 8:30 p.m. at the new downtown park on Main St.

The movie is rated PG and is 1 hour and 35 minutes long.

Peter Rabbit and his three sisters — Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-Tail — enjoy spending their days in Mr. McGregor’s vegetable garden. When one of McGregor’s relatives suddenly moves in, he’s less than thrilled to discover a family of rabbits in his new home. A battle of wills soon breaks out as the new owner hatches scheme after scheme to get rid of Peter — a resourceful rabbit who proves to be a worthy and wily opponent.

A parent or guardian is required to stay with children during the movie.

Mocksville Movies in the Park are sponsored by the Davie County Library and the Town of Mocksville.

For more information, contact Tami Langdon at 336-753-6705 or tlangdon@mocksvillenc.gov.
