You will be transported back in time to one of the most influential periods in American musical history when The Legacy Motown Review takes the stage during Bermuda Run’s summer concert series this Saturday night, June 15th, from 7 – 9 p.m. at the gazebo near Town Hall in the Kinderton Business Park.
This is the second of five free concerts co-sponsored by the Town of Bermuda Run and the Davie County Arts Council. The concert series offers something for everyone — Motown, Beach Music, Top 40, Oldies, the hits of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, and the best of the Eagles. You won’t want to miss a single concert!
Since touring with Bill Pinckney’s Original Drifters, as music director and pianist, Band Leader Stan Stigall has dreamed of starting a tribute to the legendary groups that he grew up listening to! Following the passing of his friend, Bill Pinckney, this desire has grown stronger…thus the inception of THE LEGACY!!!
Paying homage to the music that molded multiple generations, and gave Detroit a claim to fame other than cars, THE LEGACY takes you back to the days of The Drifters, The Coasters, The Jacksons, Earth Wind & Fire, The Temptations, and so many more legendary icons! Join the band, which features talented performers that dance and sing, plus an amazing six-piece horn band, on a walk down memory lane. Soul music is not just our past…it’s The Legacy!
There is plenty of space, so bring your lawn chairs, a cool drink, and snacks, and enjoy this free concert. The rain date is Sunday, June 16th.
The Kinderton Business Park Gazebo and Green is located at 120 Kinderton Boulevard, Bermuda Run, NC 27006 (off Highway 158). For questions or additional information, contact the Davie County Arts Council, (336) 751-3112, www.daviearts.org.
